The
Quarrymen was a British bans originally formed in Liverpool (1956). Three of
the members of The Beatles participated in John Lennon´s out band The Quarrymen
(John, Paul McCartney, George Harrison)
But before
the band was name The Quarrymen they were The Blackjacks because there was
another band with the same name, so Pete Shotton suggested renaming the group
The Quarrymen.
His first recordings
were the song “ That Be the Day” and “In Spite of All the Danger”, composed by
Harrison and Paul. When Stuart joined
the group, it was renamed The Beetles, but more later the name change to The
Silver Beetles, to be called in 1960 The Beatles.
