Yeah we all shine on, like the moon, and the stars, and the sun.
The first
day in which The Beatles played in Spain was in Madrid to the second of June of
1965. Only 5.000 people went to the concert to see them in the plaza of the
bulls in “Las Ventas”. Many people couldn’t go because of the control of the police
or because their parents didn’t let them. John Lennon was the one incharge of
singing that night. The people who went to see them said there was many police
control surrounding the “Las Ventas” but also many stations of the subway. Days
before the concert a group of fans of The Beatles destroyed many things of the
surroundings where they where going to act because they thought the ones who
were going to act was an American group
and not the Beatles. The price of the entries were 400 pesetas if you wanted to
sit in a chair and 75 if you wanted to sit in the sand.
Live sound
was bad, maybe it was because teams of sound were Spanish. But finally the
concert was amazing.
